YAMHILL COUNTY-Mayor Rick Olson pointed to the Cozine House in McMinnville as one of the many attractions in Yamhill County. Mayor Olson noted that the historic first house was a fitting backdrop to the announcement of Yamhill County's first sports franchise.
Yamhill County is well-known for its plentiful wine fields. It is also home to George Fox University in Newberg and Linfield College in McMinnville.
The Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville features Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose."

The Yamhill High Flyers achieved their first victory in franchise history on May 28th, 2009 in a game against Japan's Nippon Tornadoes.
