IBL Commissioner at YHF launchCommissioner Mikal Duilio (far right) welcomes the Yamhill High Flyers to the International Basketball League (IBL) at a press conference in McMinnville, Oreg. Pictured from left is Quentin Demeritte, Rome Holley and Chris Hunt.

YAMHILL COUNTY-International Basketball League (IBL) founder Mike Duilio's venture into minor league basketball began six years ago from a belief that basketball was meant to be athletic and fun for players and spectators. Duilio's belief is now a reality with 18 IBL teams.
The league has generated interest from several former NBA players, along with college all-stars and international players. Many play in other international leagues during the IBL's off season. In 2007, 102 IBL players landed jobs overseas, making it a win-win for the IBL and the players.
The IBL is also expanding its own international base with its newest team, the Nippon Tornadoes from Japan.
